This site has been set up for the 'Maximising Online Resource Effectiveness' workshops which were originally organised by JISC Strategic Content Alliance (SCA) and Netskills in 2010.
After the 2010 workshops, several documents were prepared: a guide that presented a condensed version of the presentations and materials used within the workshops; a report that described and showed evidence on how attendees were able to make use of the knowledge they received at the workshops; and a succinct checklist of items raised in the workshops as an easy reminder of possible action points for attendees and others.
The 2010 workshops were delivered on:
Previous attendees were interviewed during the second day of the workshop. The transcript of a selection of the video interviews is available.
We have compiled a visual report on the locations of the home organisations of all attendees at all the SCA MORE workshops during 2009 and 2010.
The aim of the SCA is to build a common information environment where users of publicly funded e-content can gain best value from the investment that has been made by reducing the barriers that currently inhibit access, use and re-use of online content.
Netskills is a training and staff development service with 14 dedicated and expert staff based at Newcastle University. It was set up in 1995 and provides training across the UK. Netskills is partly funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).
